Murals For Myself In The South Bronx Of Admerica
By Danny Angel Aponte, 6th Grader At P.S 161
Chapter One: Life After Media
“I believe you will write in the future The Great American
Novel,” said my 6th English teacher, beloved Ms. Raesade, early
morning. Just write what you know, she advised in the time of the boy I was who
carried Anne Frank through the shadows of burnt out buildings of The South
Bronx of guns and rose and bullies with Doberman Pinchers.
Dear Ms. Raesade,
The Great American Novel is a selfie and a sound bite a
Tweet away.
The sequel should be better.
The End
Yours truly, Danny of America
(DOA for short.)
