AI EI O: Password Confirmed

I was 10 years when I saved the life of a distinguished Japanese Tech Officer who was in New York for a conference on Artificial Intelligence.

She offered me money as a reward but I turned it down. You’re welcome, the boy I was said with a respectful bow. As I walked away, she put her hand on my shoulder.

She wanted to know my life.

She was angered by the abuses suffered by an orphan who was adopted for a paycheck by a greedy couple in The South Bronx.

I ran away and made my bed with my books on the stars above Grand Central Station where I dreamed of being captain of an intergalactic ship of heroes.

You will make your bed in Japan if you want. I promise you your full potential will be fulfilled. First you learn to speak Japanese, she said with a radiant smile.

She was amazed by my few words in Japanese when I accepted her offer of education.

How you learn to speak Japanese so quickly, she asked with eyes wide in wonder

This is New York where several languages are spoken and I have a photographic memory. Language is like music to me. Sometimes it wails like bagpipes and sometimes it lifts my spirit to the heavens. I became a scientist, a creator of androids and a ninja.

Nobody would believe a story that is classified by the Japanese government as top secret so it’s safe to turn it into the greatest anime of all time.

And The Oscar goes to…
